1 - The Great Wall of China This amazing structure is a walkway which stretches from Dandong in the east, all the way to Lop Lake in the west, the wall measures, with all of its branches, roughly 13,171 miles. Considered one of the seven wonders of the wall, this wall which is great is essentially a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and in some places, the bodies of the workers who worked on the construction of this enormous endeavor. This greatest of all walls, was constructed in order to protect Chinese states and empires against the rains and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe, including, those highly aggressive and combative Mongolians of the time.
